Full website redesign for one of Lagos's established insurance brokers — making a legacy institution feel current without losing the weight of experience.
Boff Insurance Brokers came to us with a website that had served them well for seven years but was beginning to work against them. New clients were forming opinions before a single meeting had taken place, and those opinions were shaped by a digital presence that suggested the company had not kept up.
The challenge was not just aesthetic. Insurance is a category where trust is the entire product. A redesign that only looked newer would have solved the wrong problem. We needed to design something that felt established and current at the same time — which is a genuinely difficult thing to do.
The Approach
We started by mapping every type of visitor and what they needed to feel before they picked up the phone. Prospective corporate clients needed to see institutional credibility. Individual policyholders needed to feel that their concerns would be handled by real people. Referral visitors needed enough context to validate the recommendation they'd already received.
From those three distinct confidence-building journeys, we designed the architecture. The homepage answers the institutional question immediately. The services pages are written and laid out for the individual who is uncertain. The about section is human-first — faces, names, years of experience.
What We Built
A full redesign in Next.js with a headless WordPress CMS, giving the Boff team full control over content without touching code. Custom quote request flows with form logic that routes to the right team member based on insurance type. Mobile-first throughout — over sixty percent of their traffic was already on phones.
