We hire slowly and well
The Desdistrict is a small studio and we intend to stay that way. When we bring someone in, it is because the work genuinely needs them — not because we are trying to look bigger. If you are the kind of person who cares deeply about the quality of what they make, we should probably talk.
Open Roles
No open rolesNothing listed right now. That can change.
We do not always hire through job listings. Some of our best conversations have started with a speculative email from someone who cared about the same things we do.
If that is you, send us an email with what you do and what you are looking for. No CV required up front — just tell us what you care about building.
What to Send
- —A brief note on who you are and what you do
- —A link to work you are proud of
- —What kind of engagement you are looking for
- —Why you are interested in the studio specifically
Who We Are Often Looking For
Why Work Here
Real work, real stakes
Every project matters to someone. We do not have filler clients or tick-the-box briefs. The things you build here will be used.
Small means visible
In a studio this size, your decisions show up in the finished work. There is nowhere to hide, and nowhere you need to.
No theatre
No daily standups for the sake of it. No performance reviews disguised as conversations. Clear briefs, clear feedback, clear decisions.
Learning is in the work
We do not have a training programme. We have interesting problems and people who care about solving them well. That turns out to be better.
Flexibility by default
We care about what you produce, not where you produce it. Flexible hours, remote-friendly, and we do not message people after 6pm.
Compensation that reflects value
We pay competitively for Lagos and are transparent about ranges from the first conversation. We do not waste your time with lowball offers.
